Calvary Chapel Petaluma and Coastline Christian Fellowship are pleased to announce our pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Our hope and prayer is that this will truly be a Spiritual pilgrimage for you as you set yourself apart, not only to see this incredible land and gain a deeper love and understanding of the Jewish people, but to experience His miraculous touch on your life, being impacted and transformed all the more into the image of Jesus!
Our tour begins on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea as we sit and take in the Word at the Roman Amphitheater in Caesarea where the Apostle Paul preached to King Agrippa (Acts 25) and Herod’s Port steps where the Apostle Paul was led down to the ship to Rome. We’ll spend time considering the story of Elijah when he called down fire on the four hundred prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel (1Kings 18) and overlook the Jezreel Valley from Mount Megiddo as we study prophecy about the battle of Armageddon.
Upon our arrival in the Northern Region of Israel, we will stay at Nof Ginossar Kibbutz on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. While in this region we will have time to pray on the Mount of Beatitudes, visit the town of Capernaum where Jesus healed the man with the withered hand (Matt 12), and spend time at Ceasarea Philippi where Jesus asked His disciples “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” (Matthew 16:13).
Rising early in the morning for worship overlooking the Sea of Galilee is an experience not to be missed. Overlooking Mount Hermon, we will consider the miracle of the transfiguration of Jesus (Matthew 17). In addition to seeing various Old and New Testament sites in this region, we will travel through the Golan Heights and cross the Sea of Galilee in a boat, stopping to remember Jesus walking on water and calming the storm for the disciples (Mark 6:49, Luke 8:24). A baptismal service will be offered for those who desire to go deeper and identify with Jesus.
Moving on to the Southern Region, we will see the city of Beit Shean where Saul was taken after being killed in battle (1Sam 31). We will descend to the lowest point of the earth, the Dead Sea, where Sodom and Gomorra once stood. While in this area, time will be taken at the oasis of En Gedi where David penned many of the Psalms as he cried out to God by the waterfalls and hid from King Saul in the surrounding caves. We will take a cable car up to see Herod’s palace on Masada, the site that Jewish zealots held out against the Romans for over two years and see Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered.
The pinnacle of our pilgrimage is the ascent to Jerusalem where we will stay for the remainder of our time in Israel. Each day in Jerusalem is filled with significant biblical sites. You will have time to put a prayer in the Western Wall – the most Holy site for the Jewish people, tour the underground tunnels along the foundation stones of the original temple and shop the bazaars of the Jewish Quarter. From the Mount of Olives, to the Garden of Gethsemane, Caiaphais’ house, Golgotha, and the Garden Tomb, we will teach on the actual sites where Jesus taught, performed miracles, died on the cross, and rose again!

Prices include airfare, based on double occupancy. Single room occupancy, if available, is an additional supplement of $930.00. Triple room occupancy, if available, is a reduced rate of $125.00. Current flight schedule (subject to change): We will leave on the evening of the 4th. Coastline will fly from PDX to SFO at 5:00 pm, then all will Leave SFO at 10:55 pm. We will return to SFO at 6:00 am on the 18th, and Coastline will continue to PDX arriving at 9:58 am. All flights are UA.
A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is due at the time of registration. Applications will be processed on a space-available basis and there will be a waiting list should we exceed our maximum number of participants. One half payment of the tour price is due no later than January 20, 2017 with the final payment due no later than April 20, 2017. All checks are to be made payable to Calvary Chapel Petaluma or Coastline Christian Fellowship depending on which church you are affiliated with.
A refund will be made in the event a person cancels at least twelve weeks prior to departure. Refunds will be subject to actual expenses incurred by the tour company, airlines, and any cost paid by the tour operators that cannot be recovered.

The tour price includes twin-bedded rooms with private baths for three nights at the Kibbutz Nof Ginosar guesthouse on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, five nights in Jerusalem and one night in Netanya. While in Israel, wonderful Israeli buffet breakfasts each morning and delicious dinners each evening are provided for you. Coffee, water, and tea are provided at all meals. Most lunches will be your responsibility. Gratuities for hotels, porters, restaurants at provided lunches, bus drivers, and tour guides are included, also group surface transportation while in Israel by a private chartered bus.
The tour involves an amount of walking and climbing and is very strenuous physically so should you have any health concerns please contact your doctor to discuss any limitations you may have to see if it is advisable to participate in this tour. Consumption of alcoholic beverages or smoking is not permitted. Applying for membership in this tour constitutes your agreement to abide by the discretion of the organizer and that you will accept responsibility to pay for any expenses resulting from dismissal from the tour. The tour price is based on a minimum number traveling together.
Travel Insurance is not included in the tour price. One suitcase per person at airport and hotels please
Since we want to take in as much as possible on our trip, we ask that you stay with the group during all of our organized sightseeing. Our scheduled times will mainly be after we share meals together at breakfasts until dinner times. We will set aside time for shopping and some free time.
Electrical items that you choose to bring with you will require an adapter that works in Israel
